Isle of Skye & Scenic Short Tour
Visit Scotland's largest and best known island! Leave from Edinburgh and pass Stirling Castle travelling through the lands of the Campbells heading north to Glencoe and Ben Nevis; then from Fort William, take the "Road To The Isles" and then over the Skye Bridge to the picturesque town of Portree. The next day is spent exploring the Island, taking in many of the world renowned locations such the Old Man Of Storr (pictured here); the famous "Talisker" distillery and Dunvegan Castle. Heading back to Edinburgh on the third day, make a visit to Eilean Donan Castle featured in several movies. Stop for lunch in Fort Augustus a village commanding spectacular views of Loch Ness. Golf Tour
The sample itinerary below is based on Superior First Class golf accommodation. We can provide pricing for Guest House, First and Deluxe hotel accommodation also. Please note that this is just ONE sample tour. Longer, shorter and different course tours are also available.
Day 1 - Arrival Glasgow/Edinburgh/Aberdeen. Transfer to hotel accommodation, based in the Granite City. Over night Aberdeen area.
Day 2 - Play Royal Aberdeen, the sixth oldest golf course in the world and a serious challenge. Over night Aberdeen area.
Day 3 - Play Cruden Bay, an outstanding example of natural links golf course, perhaps Scotland's finest. Transfer via the Speyside Whisky Trail. Over night Inverness area.
Day 4 - Play Royal Dornoch, despite its northerly latitude this course is still one of the most popular courses in Scotland. Over night Inverness area.
Day 5 - Transfer to Boat of Garten, playing Nairn along the way. Home to the 1999 Walker Cup, and a tough challenge of golf to even the best of players. Over night Boat of Garten area.
Day 6 - Play Boat-of-Garten, one of the most attractive of the Highland's heathland courses. Overnight Boat of Garten area.
Day 7 - Transfer south if flying out of Glasgow/Edinburgh, playing Gleneagles Kings course on the way. Overnight Glasgow or Edinburgh. If flying out of Aberdeen return to Aberdeen area, playing Murcar.
Day 8 - Transfer to Glasgow/Edinburgh Airport. Return hire car and check in for return flight.
